The flower fields are in full bloom at Raleigh’s beloved Dorothea Dix Park 🌼 And Megan & Alder are teaming up with Dix and the City of Raleigh to offer a FREE art workshop this Sunday, July 20.
Middle and high school teens are invited to join us for sketching the vibrant sunflower and zinnia fields of Dix Park. Instruction will focus on pencils and watercolor, with freedom given to explore the beauty of the flowers in your own unique style. Materials provided.

REQUIRED: Raleigh Teen Connect Membership
In addition to registering through Eventbrite for each program, participation in all teen programming at Dix Park requires a FREE Raleigh Teen Connect Membership. The Raleigh Teen Connect Program gives teens (ages 12-18) access to current and upcoming City of Raleigh programs, facilities, events, amenities, and resources.
Sign up for your membership in advance through RecLink online. To sign up online, go to RecLink and click the green “Add to Cart” button. You will need to create an RecLink account or log on to your existing account. Dix Park will also have physical copies of the membership form available at each program. All members must get a signature from a parent or guardian over the age of 18.

While free to attend, space is limited. Registration is required.

This outdoor program takes place at the Magnolia Room picnic shelter.
From Western Boulevard, enter the park at Hunt Drive or S. Boylan Avenue.
From Lake Wheeler Road, enter the park at Goode Street or Umstead Drive.
From Centennial Parkway, enter the park at Blair Drive.
Follow signage to the Magnolia Room picnic shelter.
Parking is located next to the Magnolia Room picnic shelter and in Lot A.
